This Privacy Policy explains how The Roadstand LLC (“Roadstand,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use theroadstand.com and the Roadstand marketplace (the “Service”). The Service is available only to individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. This policy does not govern the independent practices of vendors or other third parties that Roadstand does not control.
2. Information We Collect
Account and Contact Information
We may collect your name, email address, phone number, profile image, account identifiers, mailing or fulfillment address, and communications you send to us. Our authentication provider processes information needed to create, secure, and manage your account.
Order and Fulfillment Information
We collect information needed to process and support orders, including the products ordered, order history, pickup, delivery, or shipping information, fulfillment instructions, payment status, refunds, and support communications.
Vendor Information
For vendors, we may collect business and representative information, business addresses, storefront content, products, inventory, fulfillment settings, payout account identifiers, reports, and compliance information. Compliance information may include attestations, uploaded permits or licenses, document metadata, extracted permit fields, verification results, review records, and vendor agreement records.
Payment and Transaction Information
Payments and vendor payouts are processed by Stripe. We may receive payment and transaction identifiers, connected-account IDs, charge IDs, card brand and last four digits, payment status, tax information, fee information, and refund records. Roadstand does not store full payment card numbers.
Technical, Usage, and Security Information
We and our service providers may process browser and device information, application routes, error and performance data, cookie and online identifiers, requested pages, and network information such as an IP address. Roadstand may retain IP addresses and related request information when reasonably needed for security, fraud prevention, audit records, and evidence of vendor agreement acceptance.
Location Information
If you use location-based marketplace features, we may process latitude and longitude provided by your browser or a location you choose, and may store location preferences in your browser to show nearby products and shops.
Information You Make Public
Vendor storefronts, product listings, images, descriptions, and other content submitted for public display are visible to visitors and may be indexed or shared outside the Service.
Cottage-Food Checker
If you use the public cottage-food checker, we collect and may store the product description you submit and the result returned by the checker. The submitted description may be processed by an artificial-intelligence service provider to produce the result.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to: - provide, secure, and improve the Service; - create and manage accounts and vendor storefronts; - process orders, payments, refunds, taxes, and vendor payouts; - coordinate pickup, delivery, and shipping; - communicate about accounts, orders, support requests, and important Service updates; - review vendor compliance information and administer vendor agreements; - prevent fraud, investigate misuse, enforce our Terms, and protect users and the Service; - measure marketplace performance and the effectiveness of campaigns, subject to your privacy choices; and - comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
4. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information: - to the applicable vendor as needed to confirm and fulfill an order, communicate with the customer, and address support, safety, or refund matters; - to service providers that support authentication, payment processing, hosting, storage, email, mapping and address services, operational monitoring, customer support, analytics, advertising measurement, and artificial-intelligence features; - when required by law, legal process, or a lawful government request; - when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, security incidents, illegal activity, safety concerns, or violations of our Terms; - in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction; and - with your direction or consent. Vendors may use customer information received through Roadstand only for Roadstand orders and related communications, and not for unrelated marketing without the customer’s consent. Third parties process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
5. Cookies, Attribution, Analytics, and Advertising
Roadstand uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, account sessions, privacy preferences, fraud prevention, marketplace functionality, and attribution. Some cookies and online identifiers may be associated with an account, device, or order. Roadstand uses first-party attribution cookies to remember campaign and referral information. General campaign attribution may be retained for up to one year. A separate vendor-referral cookie may be used for up to 30 days to preserve a seller referral through account creation. These Roadstand attribution mechanisms are separate from optional third-party analytics and advertising providers. After you make your privacy choices, we may use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity for site analytics, and Meta technologies for advertising measurement. For confirmed purchases, we may send order value, purchased-product details, campaign labels, a pseudonymous analytics client identifier, or hashed account identifiers to the provider you allowed. Meta delivery may use the browser user agent and Meta browser identifiers captured at checkout. Providers may process network metadata, such as an IP address, when your browser connects directly to their services. Provider matching data associated with pending server purchase events is deleted after delivery, terminal failure, expiry, or a durable account opt-out.
6. Your Privacy Choices
On a browser without saved choices, optional analytics and advertising remain off until you make a choice through the privacy banner. This policy remains available before you choose. You can make a choice from the banner or open the detailed preference center. You can use the Privacy & advertising choices link in the site footer or at the top of this page to change either category later. Disabling a category stops Roadstand from sending new optional analytics or advertising events for that category. A durable account opt-out also prevents pending server purchase events for that category from being delivered. Roadstand honors a browser Global Privacy Control signal by disabling advertising for that browser and request. When you submit a privacy choice, Roadstand keeps a limited choice receipt containing a random browser identifier, an account identifier when signed in, the category values, whether a Global Privacy Control signal was active, the action taken, the notice version, and the server time. The receipt does not contain your IP address, browser user agent, location, page URL, attribution data, or provider identifiers.
7. Access, Correction, Deletion, and Retention
You may review or update available account information through your account settings. You may delete your account through the Profile and Security settings. If you cannot use those controls or need help with a privacy request, contact support@theroadstand.com. Deleting an account removes or anonymizes account information where appropriate. Roadstand may retain order, payment, tax, refund, compliance, security, audit, vendor agreement, and other records when reasonably necessary to complete transactions, meet legal obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Vendors and service providers may also retain information as permitted by their own obligations and policies.
8. Security
Roadstand uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. Authentication and account-security features are provided through our authentication provider. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy with an updated date and provide reasonable notice if we make material changes.
