Waiting List / Contact Information: If you join our waiting list or contact us, we may collect your name and email address, along with any information you include in your message.

1.2 Tool Inputs (Recipes and Descriptions)

AI Tool Inputs: When you use the Cottage Food Compliance Checker, we process the text you submit (such as recipes, ingredients, and preparation notes) to generate results.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers, medical information, or financial account details) into the Tool input fields. If you do, you do so at your own risk.

1.3 Usage Data (Analytics)

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect information about your device and how you interact with the Site. This may include:

  • pages viewed and time spent,
  • referral/exit pages,
  • approximate location (derived from IP address),
  • browser and device information, and
  • unique identifiers and cookie data (where applicable).

We use:

  • Vercel Analytics to understand Site traffic and performance, and
  • Google Analytics (GA) to analyze usage patterns and improve the Site.

4.1 Service Providers

We may share information with trusted third-party vendors that help us operate the Site and Tools, such as hosting and infrastructure providers, database/storage providers, email delivery providers (Resend), and analytics providers (including Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics). We may also use providers that support AI processing needed to deliver Tool functionality.

These providers are authorized to process information only as necessary to provide services to us.

We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to:

  • comply with law, regulation, subpoena, or lawful request,
  • protect the rights, property, or safety of The Roadstand, our users, or others, or
  • prevent fraud, security issues, or misuse of the Site.

  • Waiting list/contact info: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion (subject to legal/operational requirements).
  • Tool inputs: may be retained for debugging, quality assurance, analytics, and improving the Tools. Where appropriate, we may store Tool inputs in aggregated or de-identified form.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Email Opt-Out: You can unsubscribe from marketing or launch update emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails.

Access / Deletion Requests: You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at theroadstand.legal@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, subject to legal and operational requirements.

The Site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
